DeLonghi's Metal Nespresso Lattissima Maker, Model EN680.M, patented extraction system facilitates the ideal flow of water through the ground coffee. The gaggia espresso coffee machine automatically ejects the capsules into holding tank after brew is completed. Patented IFD milk system includes a milk container for cappuccino, latte or macchiato. The milk container includes a unique automatic cleaning function with a push of a button. The entire milk container is detachable so it can easily be placed in the refridgerator. The amounts of frothed/steamed milk and coffee are adjustable to preference. Adjustable cup tray height accomodates large or small cups with easy removable drip tray insert. Illuminated controls allow the consumer to choose their favorite drink of cappuccino, latte machiato, espresso coffee, long coffee, or hot water in a simple and intuitive way. Other features include removable drip tray, self-priming operation, 19 BAR high pressure pump and removable 40 oz water tank. The welcome kit includes an espresso cup, a latte cup, a saucer and a sample pack of Nespresso capsules. I absolutely love being able to make great tasting late, cappuccino and sometimes coffee at home with such ease. Our trips to Caribou or Starbucks, which used to be nearly everyday, are now few and far between. This machine is easy, fast and hassle free. I do agree with the negative reviews about the less than hot temperature of the coffee drinks though. The only way I've found to get late and cappuccino to an acceptable temperature is to put the froth regulator on maximum because more steam goes through the milk and thus makes the overall drink temperature warmer. You are not going to get a hot drink out of this machine. And, yes, the cup warmer on the top is completely useless..it never gets hot enough to warm a cup. And none of our coffee cups or any coffee cups I can find at the store fit in the machine–the opening is extremely narrow so I have to stand there and hold the cup while coffee comes out. So why do I give 5-stars in this review? Well, it's because I already knew all of the negatives before I purchased and still decided to buy. I'd buy it again because it's easy, fast and makes great coffee drinks right in my own kitchen. Have been using this product for about 2 weeks and will be returning it. My primary use is milk based drinks and it's just not hot enough. I've tried all the tips and tricks suggested but the bottom line is the milk coming out of the frother is only about 120 SAECO, WLL and the local warrantee station (The Repair Shack) also recommend Urnex Cafiza (I use the Tablets, you can also buy it in powder form) to keep the COFFEE circuit as spotless as the HOT WATER circuit. You can see it work as it "peels" the layers of stuck-on coffee residue that even constant rinsing on my part (remember, I am anal, LOL!) does not remove and flushes it out. That, my friends, DEFINITELY results in me being able to fully appreciate my Lavazza Super Crema-based espresso, caffe lungo (caffe crema) and capuccino with NO bitterness caused by a dirty machine! If you're going to spend the money on an expensive machine, and use expensive coffee, you might as well get great tasting caffe, right?.
